The pre-oder for the second batch of the Ledger Blue Wallet has started. The device will be shipped at the end of July 2017. A test review and instruction guide will be available here.
So what is the Ledger wallet?
It is an USB device to protect and secure your bitcoins and other crypto coins, like Ether, Ripple, Doge, Dash, Litecoin, and many other altcoins. Because it is open source there are more apps under development.
The Ledger is a cold wallet, which is offline and connected with USB. You can connect your Ledger device to your computer or android smarphone for sending your bitcoins safely, with the Ledger Wallet App.
The main principle behind hardware wallets is to provide a full isolation between the cryptographic secrets (private keys) and your easy to hack computer or smartphone.
So your bitcoins will be offline and protected. Even if your Ledger gets lost or stolen, it will be password protected, and you are able to recover it all.
When the second batch is available for shipping, a test review will follow.
